Marshawn Lynch, for years one of the most fun players to own in fantasy football, has been maddening in 2015. He’s scored a touchdown in three of his last four games, making him just fine as an RB1 in today’s landscape, but “Beast Mode” just hasn’t been the guy his owners thought they were drafting.

For starters, they have to sweat each week about whether or not he will play. Lynch has been uncharacteristically banged up just about every wee, and it shows in his stats. Lynch has rushed for 100 or more yards just once this year, and has zero multi-touchdown games.

Thanksgiving Is Already Looking Like A Disaster For Dallas

Lynch was considered very questionable last week, and because he played in a primetime game, many owners might have benched him because they couldn’t afford the risk. This week it’s more of the same; he missed Thursday’s practice with an abdomen injury according to ESPN Seattle’s Liz Mathews (via CBS).

Lynch doesn’t need to practice in order to play, but as the injuries mount, the likelihood of an explosion from him diminishes, and the chances of Thomas Rawls playing a bigger role increase.

Bill Simmons Swipes At ESPN Over QBR Stat

There is a long list of running back busts this year. Jamaal Charles, Le’Veon Bell, Matt Forte, and LeSean McCoy have all been wrecked by injuries, while Eddie Lacy, C.J. Anderson, Jeremy Hill and DeMarco Murray have been performance busts.

One more missed/bad game, and “Beast Mode” will be on the list.
