Scoring is important in the game of basketball and normally it takes years to pile up points and normally at a ripe age. However, that is not the case for this 11-year-old sixth grader who just became the youngest high school player to reach 1,000 points.

Jaden Newman, who hails from Downey Christian over in Orlando, Fla., already showed promise last year at the age of 10 when she was averaging 30.5 points per game as reported by Fox Sports. And as she grows older, it seems that she continues to improve and get better.

And do take note, she is going up against older and more seasoned high school players.

Newman recently added another feather to his cap of achievements, being the youngest player to reach the 1,000 point mark last Wednesday. She needed only seven points to achieve the feat, so that feat was imminent. She ended with 47 points.

At such a young age and the ways she is scorching the baskets, one can just ponder on what her total point total in the years to come and against players who will most likely be less of a challenge considering she is already playing with the big girls.

At the rate she is going, more records are likely to be set and pave the way for a much coveted wish -- be the first female player ever to play in the NBA as reported by the Bleacher Report.
