George Zimmerman Wife, Shellie, Doubts Husband's Innocence In Trayvon Martin Killing [VIDEO]

Shellie Zimmerman admits she has doubts about her husband's innocence in the shooting death of unarmed Florida teen Trayvon Martin.

Speaking publicly for the first time since her 911 call to Florida police on Sept. 9 where she alleged her estranged husband was threatening her and her father with a gun, George Zimmerman's soon-to-be ex told NBC News the man she loved changed dramatically after his controversial acquittal in the death of the 17-year-old Martin.

"This person that I'm married to that I'm divorcing, I've kind of realized now that I don't know him," she told NBC. "And I really don't know what he's capable of."

Shellie Zimmerman added she is now tormented by thoughts of what actually took place the night her husband, a former neighborhood watch captain, disregarded a 911 dispatcher's direct orders to stop following Martin and instead confronted the teen.

"I'm conflicted on that," she told NBC. "I believe the evidence, but this revelation in my life has really helped me to take the blinders off."

Though it's previously been reported the couple was experiencing marital difficulties even before the Martin shooting, Shellie said things really spiraled out of control following her husband's acquittal.

"George kind of treated me like I was disposable," she told NBC. "After standing by him he left. And I guess he kind of went on a victory tour without me. I thought I was living a life with him and that we were going to kind of rebuild after all of this and he had other plans for me."

As of now, Shellie Zimmerman says she does not know her husband's whereabouts and has been unable to formally serve him with divorce papers.
