Lana is working her way back from a wrist injury, but by the time she makes a comeback in the WWE, she may not have much momentum.

The "Ravishing Russian" isn't really Russian at all, and now that she continues to get herself into hot water outside of the ring, the mega push she was receiving before her injury may be put on hold. While Rusev and Dolph Ziggler were feuding, Lana was the star and there were rumors flowing that Vince McMahon wanted to push her as the next great Diva.

An in-ring injury led to Lana being placed on the shelf, and nothing but bad news has followed her ever since. Part of that storyline with Rusev and Ziggler was that the blonde bombshell was now in a relationship with the "Showoff," while the "Bulgarian Brute" was involved with Summer Rae.

Summer Rae proposed to Rusev as part of the angle, but it was all ripped to shreds when word of Lana and Rusev's real-life engagement leaked to various publications. Once that news became public knowledge, the WWE had to scrap its plans with Rusev and Summer Rae and move on, while Ziggler also went onto other things.

Behind the scenes, it created a firestorm for WWE as Lana and Rusev couldn't keep up the facade of being enemies, which led to a major change in creative direction. If Lana was already in trouble, her Twitter war with Paige certainly didn't help things.

Following Paige's controversial promo toward Charlotte that closed RAW this week, Lana got into a real life Twitter argument with the two-time Divas Champion for the entire world to see. Paige used the death of Charlotte's brother, Reid Flair, in the angle to taunt her opponent, drawing the ire of Lana.

Lana lashed out at Paige and called her a bully, even saying that the Norwich, England native used to bully her in NXT. Never one to back down, Paige engaged in a war of words with the Diva which has led to a lot of chatter in the WWE.

Summer Rae and NXT creative assistant Rob Naylor jumped to Paige's aid on Twitter, and there appears to be some backstage heat on Lana, according to WrestingInc.com. There's no telling what punishment, if any, awaits Lana upon her return, but she seems to be burning bridges left and right with the WWE.

The Diva's inability to sustain her in-ring persona leads to the question of whether it's even worth the WWE having her keep up the Russian front anymore. The "Ravishing Russian" can't seem to stay out of trouble, so maybe it's time for the company to unleash the real side of the WWE Diva, like they did recently with Paige's heel turn.
