Alberto Del Rio surprised everyone when he returned practically unannounced at WWE Hell In A Cell, but perhaps that was all the hype he got since winning the United States title in less than impressive fashion against the departing John Cena.

Of course there were a lot of questions surrounding the one supporting him, Zeb Colter, but to date, one gets the feeling that the WWE has not really gotten its money’s worth as far as Del Rio’s return is concerned.

Predicting Participants For Traditional 'Survivor Series' Match

The figures of Del Rio’s deal are of course kept under wraps, though the belief that they are astronomical. But as far as his presence in the WWE is concerned, Del Rio seems to be a lost sheep right now, being involved in various matches that don’t have a clear storyline.

The obvious, though, is that he is returning as a heel, a character that he has been famous for. But with no single individual to have a rivalry with, the WWE creative team seems to be in more shambles by not properly lining up the WWE stars to where they rightfully are.

Possible Swerves For WWE 'Survivor Series'

Like for example, Del Rio is lined up for the WWE Heavyweight Championship tournament, though it is the belief of many that he will eventually fall to Roman Reigns. Rather than inject him into that, why not get him feuding with a face character like Dolph Ziggler or even Neville for a change?

Dean Ambrose would have been a perfect fit, but as everyone knows he has suddenly become a favorite to snatch the WWE Championship from under the nose of his buddy Roman Reigns.

Del Rio and Colter are apparently preaching the MexAmerica angle though, so it could be another one of those USA vs. The World storylines. So who steps up to the plate? Someone who takes pride in his country like maybe Jack Swagger or even Rusev, when he returns from injury.

The U.S. champ was a good heel before he left the WWE scene. And surely he can pick off where he was before he left unceremoniously due to racial slur issues. Address that and perhaps it can help in the WWE ratings game.
