New York, Houston and Los Angeles felt the wrath of Jeremy Lin. In the offseason, Golden State seemed to be the next obvious choice.

The Warriors checked all the boxes for Linsanity. The market size was on par or at least slightly below previous employers, it was an opportunity to feature for his hometown team and perhaps more importantly, the opportunity to feature for an NBA championship team.

Jeremy Lin Must Be Humble To Succeed With Hornets

There's only so much losing you can do with the Knicks and Lakers before you desire success.

Lin, however, decided for a safer path in Charlotte.

Jeremy Lin Deserves To Be Starting

"I entertained [the Warriors],'' he said, per the New York Post. "I just felt like they had something great going there, and if I went there, it would be a very limited role.

"I felt like, 'I'm 27 now.' I want to find where I can be as big a part of a successful team as I can.''

His justification is all well and good, but his personality was always better suited for a state in the "bible belt." Especially North Carolina. This is the same state that tried to make Christianity its "official religion" in 2013.

In an interview with GQ, Eric Lee -- one of Lin's college housemates -- even likened him to another athletic devout Christian.

"Honestly...I hate to say it, but he's a lot like Tim Tebow," Lee said.

Except unlike Tebow, Lin is still employed in his sport. And fortunately for him, he's employed by the right team.
