If there was ever a chance for Manchester United to pry Neymar from Barcelona, it's now.

The Brazilian international is uncertain about his status in Spain, with consistent probing into his financial affairs making it impossible for him to continue with the Catalan giants. His father, Neymar Sr., said as much on Cadena SER.

David Beckham Doesn't Deserve To Be Named 'Sexiest Man Alive'

"We are talking about a contract renewal, but we're waiting to resolve some things that concern us," he said, per Fox Sports. "We can't have this uncertainty with the tax of not knowing if what we're doing is right. We need to know if Spain accepts our situation.

"We're talking to everyone to know what to do with this issue because we don't want to be in Spain for two, three, four, five or 10 years and then be caught by surprise by being told our structure isn't correct."

Neymar Already Started Speaking With Manchester United

If Neymar and his father don't want to be in Spain, Manchester United will certainly welcome him with open arms.

While previous rumors have been readily dismissed, Neymar Sr. ensures this is no hollow threat.

"If we are creating big problems for Spain, we can't be here. We've never had such big tax problems."

And Manchester United haven't had a global star of this magnitude since 2009. One country's headache is on the verge of becoming another's treasure come 2016.
