Despite losing their seventh game in a row and more than likely not making the playoffs, the Cowboys expect the return of Tony Romo next week vesus the Dolphins.

Jerry Jones said to the Forth Worth Star-Telegram "It's in the long-term best interest of our team to, if he's ready to play this week of course, it's in our long-term best interest to go out and win a ballgame."

"Tony has had a good couple weeks of practice with us," head coach Jason Garrett said. "We anticipate him being able to practice this week."

Even with the loss Sunday, the Cowboys aren't out of the playoff picture yet. The Eagles and Giants both lost, while the Redskins defeated the Saints.

The Cowboys split with both the Eagles and Giants and have yet to face the Redskins.

So, they still have a chance, although just a slight chance but it's better than nothing.

The Cowboys offense has basically been non-existent since both Romo and Dez Bryant got hurt in back-to-back weeks. Bryant's return hasn't made an impact, but Romo's return may be the medicine the Cowboys need to make a last minute run to the playoffs.

Neither Brandon Weeden nor Matt Cassell have done much on offense, although with the exception of the New England game, all the Cowboys loses have been fairly close.

Romo's return, if he is 100 percent can't hurt and gives the Cowboys something they have been missing for weeks; a chance to win.
