The Lakers continue to lose and the frustrations continue to pile up for head coach Byron Scott. At 1-8, the Los Angels fans are certainly not happy and Scott knows it.

After dropping yet another game at the hands of the Mavericks, 90-82, Scott was expectedly disappointed yet again and one of the key players in the Lakers fold right now noticed – Kobe Bryant.

LeBron James Writes Letter For Dying 19 Year Old HS Coach

"He said, 'You look like you're ready to kill somebody,'" Scott old the LA Times. "I said, 'Man, I'm just so frustrated.'"

For someone on the hot seat these days, who can blame Scott? He has been criticized for playing Bryant extensively which places him at risk of another injury and at the same time hit for not placing confidence on the like of Jordan Clarkson, Julius Randle and recently, rookie D’ Angelo Russell.

Hornets Coach Refusing To Start His Two Best Players

Scott's been turning to his old hands and veterans for better defense, though the move has shown minimal improvement for now. While the Lakers may have picked it up on the defensive end by limiting opponents to 97.8 points per game, it would be best to take note of the teams they played.

The clubs (Nets, Knicks, Heat, Magic and Mavericks) had a combined 21-26 record, which does not somehow justify the defensive progress that Scott and the Lakers have shown.

The inexperience is obviously showing and now Scott is suddenly preaching patience since his young guys have to fall. So does this mean that winning has now taken a backseat or is it the reality that the Lakers will not improve if he continues to focus on winning and not development?

Tied up to that is the popular line on how long will he go with Bryant on the floor? The five-time NBA champion has been in and out due to a sore back and if Scott continues to use him extensively, he could be headed toward a fourth straight season-ending injury or worse, possibly the end of his 20-year NBA career.
