On the court, DeMarcus Cousins is a fearsome sight, which is compounded by the fact that his emotional side takes the better of him. But off the court, he is pretty different and such is known only to people perhaps close to him.
Despite his demeaning persona, Cousins does have a tender side and he shows this through reports that the Kings franchise player has offered to pick up the tab of the funeral services for Grant Union High School varsity football player, Jaulon Clavo.

Clavo was shot in the neck while driving with four of his teammates as they were picking up food before a scheduled home game.
Clavo was in his senior year and started at cornerback. He was never known to be a troublesome kid along with his companions and the reason behind the shooting has yet to be determined.

“No one knows who (did this) or no one knows why this happened,” Rev. Tommie Williams saiid per the Sacramento Bee. “It’s so sad because these were not troubled kids, they’re good kids who went to get something to eat off campus and this happens.”
Cousins has been known to follow local high school basketball and football games, including Grant Union.

The Kings forward wanted to keep everything anonymous but word about it apparently came out during a candlelight vigil held Saturday.
This is not the first time that Cousins has reached out to extend financial help. Just last June, he shed out $27,915.05 for the purchase of LED scoreboards for Sacramento High School.
