Kyrie Irving is still undergoing rehabilitation after having surgery for his injured knee cap, but it seems that "Uncle Drew" has been given medical clearance to take the next step in his road to recovery.
Irving has reportedly been given medical clearance to undergo intensive weight-bearing activities as he works with the Cavalier training staff in leg strengthening assignments as deemed fit, according to Cleveland.com.

Since injuring his left knee cap during Game 1 of the 2014 NBA Finals, Irving has been kept on the sidelines and has not been involved in major on-court activities. But he may be one step closer to that direction once he build up his leg muscles.
Right now, the Cavs are looking good after notching their eighth straight win. Mo Williams and Matthew Delladedova seem to be holding down the fort magnificently for now, though Irving still offers a big boost once he has fully recovered from his injury.

The forecast for Irving’s return technically remains the same, though it would still depend on how he progresses from here on. The belief was that Irving’s earliest return to the Cavs’ fold would be January, 2016, assuming he has already fully recovered and been given the green light to play.
The Cavs have made it clear that they will try to manage the minutes of their players for the whole season to make sure that everyone is up and about once the post-season comes around. And the main focus remains to be on Irving, LeBron James and Kevin Love.
