Maryland fans would be thrilled just to make it to a bowl game, something they will likely miss this year with the team owning a 2-8 record.

Kiffin came to Alabama after he was fired at USC. At the time the move was thought to be controversial by Nick Saban because of Kiffin's brash and arrogant attitude. There were some wondered aloud if the relationship would sour between the two.

But the move has paid off for both Kiffin and Saban. Kiffin's offense last year was one of the best in the country and one of the best in school's history.

And this year, he has Alabama running back Derrick Henry in the running for Bama's second Heisman Trophy.

Even if Kiffin does not end up at Maryland, from sounds of it, he is out of Tuscaloosa.
