The Cowboys are a complete mess and the dysfunction in Jerry World continued on Thursday.

Greg Hardy's Record Cleared In Spite Of Common Sense

Dallas is enduring a frustrating and injury-plagued season, having played to a 2-6 record. The Cowboys have lost their last six games and are in a complete downward spiral while staring up at the rest of the NFC East from the division's cellar.

It's been a forgettable season for the Cowboys, but with half of it still left to play out, there is plenty of more room for this malfunctioning team to self-implode. Here are five reasons for the dysfunction in Dallas.

Jerry Jones Hasn't Lost Man Crush On Johnny Manziel

1) Dizzying Dez

Bryant lost his mind on the media Thursday, calling them "dirty" nine times due to the receiver being upset over a story ESPN published that depicted him in a bad light. Bryant also accused the reporter, who is black, of saying a racial slur, which several witnesses denied. He was also angry after the Cowboys' Nov. 1 loss to the Seahawks when media members spun that he was talking trash about injured Seattle receiver Ricardo Lockette, when in actuality, he was ranting to an official. The two-time Pro Bowler vowed to not talk to the media anymore and during this incident, coach Jason Garrett, tight end Jason Witten and a PR person tried to calm him down.

2) Greg Hardy

It's been said before but it bears repeating that Hardy just isn't a very good person. The defensive end has been a distraction on and off the field for the Cowboys. He had his record expunged after being found guilty of assaulting his ex-girlfriend and throwing her on a futon of guns because he ended up paying her off. When he returned to the field, Hardy had a dust up with Bryant and Garrett on the sidelines during the Cowboys' loss to the Giants on Oct. 25.

3) Quarterback Woes

Tony Romo went down in Week 2 with a broken collarbone, and Dallas hasn't been the same since. During the game in which Romo got hurt, the Cowboys improved their record to 2-0. Since then, they're 0-6. Romo was averaging nearly 400 yards per game when he was sidelined, while backups Brandon Weeden (315) and Matt Cassel (363) don't quite stack up. Cassel has had the better success from a yardage standpoint, but he's thrown four picks in three starts -- including three against the Giants.

4) Struggling Pass Rush

The Cowboys have forced just four turnovers on the season and the club is tied for 25th in the league with 14 sacks. Despite the addition of Hardy this offseason, the defense has left a lot to be desired this season.
