Toss your ex-girlfriend onto a futon covered in assault rifles, choke her -- allegedly -- it doesn't matter. Just make sure you don't change your mind about anything.

The city of Dallas won't let you live it down.

Michele Draya Responsible For Orlando Scandrick's Injury

On Sunday, Cowboys fans cheered as Greg Hardy sacked Sam Bradford in a 33-27 loss to the Eagles. On Wednesday, they booed DeAndre Jordan in his first appearance at the American Airlines Center since spurning the Mavericks this offseason.

Jeff Van Gundy wasn't about to let that ignorant reality go unnoticed.

"I would also like the Dallas fans to acknowledge the sheer lunacy and absurdity that they're booing DeAndre Jordan tonight, and they'll be cheering someone like Greg Hardy on Sunday," Van Gundy said on the ESPN broadcast. "That, to me, is absurd.

"All this guy did was change his mind."

Mic. Dropped.

Needless to say, Dallas fans weren't pleased with his commentary.

Dallas' predicament is the nature of sports. Hardy -- like it or not -- is one of the city's own. Jordan is not. There's no incentive for fans to let Jordan's betrayal go unnoticed.

It still doesn't negate the veracity of Van Gundy's conclusion.
