Andre Drummond has been finding his name all over the box score early in the basketball season and now his name will also be added to the record books.

In Drummond's first six games of the season, he had three games with at least 20 points and 20 rebounds for the Pistons. The last three players to accomplish that feat are Drummond, Wilt Chamberlain and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

Warriors Off To Best Offensive Start In NBA History

Drummond continued to join elite company when after his first seven games, he became the only player since 1970 to have at least 135 points and 135 rebounds in their first seven games. Drummond once again saw his name next to Wilt Chamberlain, who was the last player to put up such big numbers.

The Pistons are off to a surprising 5-2 start and Drummond is the primary reason for it. His 19.6 rebounds, 1.9 steals and 1.9 blocks all lead Detroit on a per game basis. Drummond is also shooting a team-leading 53.3 percent from the field.

Kobe Has Harsh Words For Himself

Of course Drummond's hot start is far from sustainable, however it is save to assume he will continue playing at an elite level. Drummond has shown a ton of rebounding prowess throughout his young career, and if he can keep improving on the offensive side of the ball than the Pistons have a very good chance of making some noise in the East.
