Tuesday will mark only the second unveiling of the College Football Playoff rankings, but a big shake up is already projected to take place.

Leonard Fournette Ready For The NFL As A Sophomore

A 30-16 loss from LSU -- who entered the weekend ranked No. 2 in the country -- will open the door for a previously wronged team to enter the fray. Notre Dame, Baylor, Oklahoma State and Iowa were all on the outside looking in, but only one will be able to replace the Tigers.

Below is the projected top-4 ahead of Tuesday's release.

Why The Hurricanes Must Hire Lane Kiffin

No. 1 Clemson

All Clemson can do now is beat who’s in front of them. That was the case on Saturday, cruising past Florida State 23-13. A weakened schedule will eventually cost the Tigers, but not on Tuesday.

No. 2 Alabama

When you beat the No. 2 team in the country, you deserve to be the No. 2 team in the country. Add to that, Alabama boasts victories over Wisconsin, Georgia and Tennessee, enough to jump a less-than-impressive Ohio State.

No. 3 Ohio State

Ohio State did enough in Saturday’s 28-14 victory over Minnesota and that's all that matters. Being undefeated and the defending national champion will always be enough to qualify, as seen last year with Florida State.

No. 4 Notre Dame

Baylor and Oklahoma State won’t be too pleased with this selection, but Notre Dame has done everything right to be considered for the College Football Playoff. The Fighting Irish’s only loss came to Clemson -- in the middle of a hurricane -- and it was only by two points in Death Valley.

Oklahoma State will eventually have the resume to surpass Notre Dame, but not Tuesday.
