Matt Barnes is still holding a grudge against his ex-teammate Derek Fisher, and he has every right to.

When the Grizzlies forward returned to the Staples Center, the very venue he played at while being teammates with Fisher on the Lakers, he made it clear he was still agitated by his former friend. The Grizzlies fell to the Clippers, 94-92, but that loss was overshadowed by the small forward's issues with the current Knicks head coach.

Pacers Fans Remind Matt Barnes Of Incident With Derek Fisher

The two men were involved in an incident over a month ago at the home of Barnes' ex-wife Gloria Govan. Barnes said his sons were concerned about Fisher's presence at their mother's home during a party, which led to the NBA journeyman driving to the house to confront his former teammate.

Barnes believes the story should have ended there, but Fisher mishandled it.

Derek Fisher's Ex-Wife Is Plotting Her Revenge

"We're two grown men who should have handled grown men's business," Barnes said Monday, according to The Los Angeles Times, "but he wanted to run and tell the cops and tell the NBA, so now it's everywhere."

Fisher, who divorced his wife Candace in March citing irreconcilable differences, has stayed mum over the incident to the New York media, dubbing it as a personal matter, but the cops came to the house following the physical altercation and it leaked out to the media from there.

While the incident is an ugly one between two former friends, Barnes is correct in holding a grudge. After all, his former teammate was spending time with his ex-wife behind his back, and given Barnes' past run-ins with the law, getting the cops involved was dangerous.

Also, the cops getting involved led to an ongoing investigation from the NBA, which seems very excessive.

Barnes is nowhere near perfect, as he was arrested for a domestic violence incident involving Govan, who stars on "Basketball Wives LA in 2010. Two years later, he was arrested again for driving with a suspended license and threatening a police officer..

Sure, driving to your ex-wife's home to confront her new lover is a crazy thing to do, but Fisher turning to the cops and spinning the story on Barnes also isn't entirely fair.

The two should have settled it like men, and maybe they'll get the chance to do so on the court when the Knicks visit the Grizzlies on Jan. 16.
