WWE Monday Night RAW is taped from London this week, meaning it's one of those rare times where it won't air live on the USA Network in the United States. It also means that some news has leaked out early regarding the tournament to crown a new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
In the leaked brackets, there are some questionable Superstars that have no business being involved in a World Championship tournament, such as tag team wrestlers in Kalisto and Titus O'Neil, former NXT star and recent call up Tyler Breeze and even Stardust, who hasn't amounted to much as of late. It does, however, add a bit of a Cinderella possibility to the proceedings.
WWE Relies Too Heavily On Aging Stars
The tournament is happening because Seth Rollins tore his ACL and MCL, causing the company to vacate its richest prize.
The WWE is also putting on Roman Reigns vs. Big Show for the ceremonial 100th time in first-round action on RAW this week. Other notable clashes will see Sheamus, who is still Mr. Money in the Bank, vs. Cesaro, Neville vs. King Barrett in a King of the Ring finals rematch and Dolph Ziggler vs. The Miz.
