Since its inception on Thanksgiving Night in 1987, the Survivor Series has been all about teamwork.

Who Will Be Next WWE Champion?

Throughout the years, the WWE has constructed some memorably stacked teams of star-studded talent in its traditional elimination tag team matches.

Here are the 10 best teams ever put together for the WWE's annual Thanksgiving Week tradition, which emanates this year from the Philips Arena in Atlanta on Nov. 22.

5 Best Undertaker Matches In Survivor Series History

Honorable Mentions: Team SmackDown, 2005 (Batista, Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, JBL & Bobby Lashley); The All Americans, 1993 (Lex Luger, The Steiner Brothers & The Undertaker)

10) The Teamsters, 1994

This team was absolutely stacked with Hall of Famers Shawn Michaels and Diesel (Kevin Nash) leading the charge. The late, great Owen Hart was also a member, while Jim "Anvil" Neidhart and Jeff Jarrett rounded it out. Unfortunately for the team, Michaels and Diesel imploded and it fell to the Razor Ramon-led "The Bad Guys."

9) Team Piper, 1991

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper's team was loaded, consisting of WWE Hall of Famer Bret "Hitman" Hart, "The British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith and Virgil. The foursome took on Ric Flair, The Mountie, Ted Dibiase and The Warlord, in a somewhat disappointing match that ended with a mass elimination that saw "The Nature Boy" stand tall.

8) Team Guerrero, 2004

The late Eddie Guerrero led a dominant team, which included future face of the franchise John Cena, The Big Show and Rob Van Dam against a unit spear-headed by Kurt Angle. Team Guerrero wasn't only star-studded, but it won its match with three quarters of the team intact.

7) Team Cena, 2014

The stakes were high when Cena led a deep unit against Team Authority at last year's event. Cena partnered up with eventual sole survivor Dolph Ziggler, The Big Show, Ryback and Erick Rowan in one of the deepest units the Survivor Series ever produced.

6) The Warriors, 1990

The Ultimate Warrior, who was the reigning WWE Champion at the time, led a fantastic squad, which consisted of the Legion of Doom, one of the greatest tag teams in WWE history, and future WWE Hall of Famer The Texas Tornado over Mr. Perfect and Demolition. The late Warrior was the sole survivor.

5) Team Hardyz & E&C, 1999

Two of the greatest tag teams to ever grace a WWE ring got together when Edge, Christian and the Hardy Boyz teamed up to take on Too Cool and The Holly's. Though both E&C and The Hardyz went on to have illustrious wrestling careers, they fell in this contest, with Hardcore Holly lasting as the sole survivor.

4) Team DX, 2006

Just how stacked was the lineup of Shawn Michaels, Triple H, The Hardy Boyz and CM Punk? They swept their opponents, a party flanked by Randy Orton and Edge, in one of the most dominant Survivor Series efforts ever.

3) Team Austin, 2003

When "Stone Cold" Steve Austin was backed into a corner with his job on the line, he formed one of the most formidable teams in Survivor Series history. The "Texas Rattlesnake's" group was captained by Shawn Michaels and included highly decorated talents Rob Van Dam, The Dudley Boyz and Booker T. HBK put on a tremendous performance, but Team Austin fell to Team Bischoff, with Randy Orton serving as the sole survivor.

2) The Hulkamaniacs, 1989

This team was absolutely filthy, led by six-time WWE Champion Hulk Hogan and consisting of three-time WWE Tag Team Champions Demolition and the unbelievably talented Jake "The Snake" Roberts. The squad ended up knocking off The Million Dollar Team, led by Ted Dibiase.

1) Team WWF

When the much-maligned Invasion angle came to an end, Team WWF took on The Alliance in a winner-take-all traditional Survivor Series match. Team WWF was an All-Star unit, led by The Rock, who partnered up with The Undertaker, Chris Jericho, Kane and The Big Show to thwart off the Steve Austin-captained Team Alliance after a Kurt Angle face turn.
