Vitor Belfort got back on the winning track, scoring a first-round knockout over opponent Dan Henderson in the main event of UFC Fight Night 77 held in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The contest started with both fighters trying to measure each other out. The excitement didn't turn up until Belfort let out a timely high kick that landed on a leaning Henderson.

It was open season from there with Belfort following up the critical hit with two wide hooks with Henderson reeling. One of multiple left hooks hit its mark and ended up knocking out Hollywood.

With the win, Belfort improved to 25-11 overall (14-7 in the UFC). With the conquest, Belfort is now tied with ex-middleweight champ Anderson Silva for most stoppages in UFC history.

It was the first win by the Brazilian since 2013, which saw him bow to Chris Weidman. But it seems that he has successfully overhauled that with his emphatic triumph of Hollywood.

"Sometimes you fall down," Belfort said after the fight. "But, you pick yourself back up."

As far as his batting record against Henderson is concerned, the recent victory pushes him ahead. The two have already met before with Henderson taking the first meeting back in 2006 via decision. Belator evened the score in their second meeting, ironically knocking out Henderson too in 2013.

“Legacy is not something that you leave for yourself,” he said. “So for me, when I fight, I don’t try to think to beat records. I just do it because I love it,” added Belfort.
