It's been nine years, but Chivas Guadalajara will have the opportunity to lift their first major trophy since taking the Apertura crown in 2006.
Standing in the way in Wednesday's Copa MX final is Leon. A goal from Mauro Boselli allowed the club to advance past Atlas in the semifinals. A victory would ensure Leon lift a major trophy in three consecutive seasons, a successful run considering the club made the jump from Ascenso MX in 2013.

What They're Saying
Leon vice president Rodrigo Fernandez (via Esto): "We want to win [the Copa MX]. We want to be the club with the most Copa MX titles. (Leon are tied with America and Puebla for the most Copa MX titles. All three have won five). It's a tournament we took very seriously, as we do every tournament. This club is a winner and we want to win it all."
Chivas Guadalajara midfielder Marco Fabián (via Esto): "This game means a lot to me. Without a doubt I have the ambition of being a champion with this club. Tomorrow [Wednesday] is a great opportunity."
