Derek Jeter may be off the baseball diamond and off the market, but he's still one smooth operator.
The former Yankees captain and shortstop hasn't publicly announced his engagement to super hot model Hannah Davis, but in his latest post for the Players' Tribune, Jeter confirmed the two are in fact ready to tie the knot.
Jeter wrote a post on the site, which he is the founding author of, about his dog, Kane, and how he went from one job to another when he transitioned from baseball player to pet owner. The five-time World Series champion also revealed the dog was a gift from Davis, who he referred to for the first time officially as his fiancée.
"I had no idea what I was in for as a new dog owner," Jeter wrote. "He was a Christmas gift last year from my fiancée, whose family had Mastiffs growing up. I've never owned a pet in my life."

Boom. There it is.
Jeter went on to say he was afraid of dogs growing up and never had time to own one as a player, but in Kane, he discovered the necessary adjustments and routines.
It was believed the 14-time MLB All-Star would also never settle down in the love department, but that all changed with Davis. Less than a year after Jeter hang up his cleats, he proposed to the Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, putting to bed a who's who of conquests that he's had throughout the years.
Jeter has been romantically linked to such bombshells as Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Mariah Carey, Scarlett Johansson and Minka Kelly through the years, just to name a few. But now, with his playing (and playa) days behind him, the Yankees shortstop is ready to settle down with Davis.
Though he skipped an event reportedly to avoid questions about his engagement last week, the print doesn't lie and the Yankee great is letting it be known he's ready to marry Davis, albeit in typical Jeter sly fashion.
