Tonight at 8:25 p.m. ET on CBS and NFL Network, the surging Dolphins (3-3) will aim to hand the Patriots their first loss at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough. The Dolphins, a laughingstock just a few short weeks ago, suddenly look like they have an elite running game and a promising young quarterback again under interim coach Dan Campbell.

"With the changes that happened, we honestly feel like it was a new season," linebacker Kelvin Sheppard said. "That's from the top down. That's what our head man stands before us and says. We've all bought into that, and that's truly what we believe."

They’ve won two straight blowouts, but this is a sterner test. For all the new optimism surrounding Miami, their two wins were against bottom-feeding AFC South teams. The Texans are in complete disarray, having cut their Week 1 quarterback, and the Dolphins injured Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota the previous week with a personal foul.

To beat New England, they’ll have to ride RB Lamar Miller and take advantage of the Patriots’ 21st-ranked rushing defense. Miller has totaled 288 yards and two touchdowns since Campbell took over.

This might also be the perfect time to strike. New England is missing several starters on both sides of the ball, and played a physical division game vs. the Jets on Sunday. They’re not happy to be playing on a short week.

"I don't want to sit here and continue to dwell on that," TE Rob Gronkowski said of Thursday games. "We're playing Thursday and we've got to be ready to go and we're always excited when we get a chance to take the field."
