Dr. AnnMaria DeMars, Ronda Rousey's mother, recently unleashed a tirade aimed at Tarverdyan, saying that he was 'a terrible coach' and a 'bad person' and if it were legal, she would: 'run him over with my car.' Rousey addressed the issue for the first time during a media session at her gym at Glendale, California.

"Any reaction and response I have for my mother, she's going to hear from me and not a media outlet," Rousey said. It is also a mystery whether or not Rousey actually held a conversation with her mother. Ronda Rousey preferred to handle these kind of situations personally and doesn't believe that it needs to go beyond further than this about what has been said between Ronda and her mother. "I really don't think that's anybody's business," Rousey adds.
And as for Rousey's coach, Edmond Tarberdyan, he took everything professionally as well handling it on a high road. Tarverdyan promised that he never would say anything bad about anybody's mother and that's the end of the story, as far as he is concerned.

"It doesn't matter for me," Tarverdyan said. "We have a fight in front of us Nov. 14. That's all I worry about and I care about at this point. It's her mom, at the end of the day. And that's it. I'm a person that's never spoke negative about anybody's mom and will never do that. Friendship, anybody - I've always said a mom is a mom and that's it. That's all I have to say."
