The Miami Hurricanes are having a rough year. After a 4-3 start that included a 58-0 trouncing from Clemson this past weekend, the U decided to make a personnel change by dropping head coach Al Golden.

So now the Canes need to fill that void, and plenty of names are already being tossed around. But one name might be the least probable, yet most perfect fit there is: Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

Miami Fans Want Lane Kiffin As Next Canes Coach

Shortly after the announcement of Golden's release, SB Nation writer Rodger Sherman got the conversation going on Twitter.

A lot of people responded, but it wasn't until Johnson himself chimed in that the conversation really picked up steam, tweeting to his nearly 10 million followers:

"Need to create a culture that's TRULY hungry for greatness. Not just winning, but greatness. We'll find that coach."

Greg Schiano Leads Candidates For Hurricanes' Football Job

While Johnson didn't technically say he didn't want the job, in the realm of reality, there's a roughly 99.9999999% chance this never, ever, ever happens. And that's really too bad. The Rock has a personal familiarity with the U, playing on the Canes from 1991 to 1994 as a defensive end. Plus, he's got coaching experience, or at least pretending coaching experience -- never forget the 2006 classic that was Gridiron Gang.

So, don't hold your breath for The Rock to takeover The U, but at the same time, there's also hope. In the meantime, tight ends coach and run-game coordinator Larry Scott has taken over as the interim head coach while the search continues.
