Tom Brady is arguably the greatest quarterback in the history of football, but is it possible for him to be getting better? Given the degree of difficulty of the Patriots’ 6-0 start to the 2015 season, it appears he is.

There are a number of quarterbacks who can lay claim to being the best quarterback ever, and there’s no way to quantify a concrete answer. However, if Brady completes a mission he has set for himself, there will be no doubt.

Ranking The Five Undefeated Teams' Chances Of Running the Table

Right now Brady is having one of the best starts to a season of his career. In six wins he has chucked 16 touchdown passes and just one interception, which was deflected. He has thrown multiple touchdown passes in every game, topping out with a 466-yard, three-touchdown performance vs. Buffalo. He is doing this at 38 years old, and once again, without a viable deep threat to take the top off a defense.

Absent a burner on the outside, Brady has simply perfected his chemistry with TE Rob Gronkowski, and WR Julian Edelman, who has evolved from one of the NFL’s best slot receivers, to a player who can carve up secondaries from any position on the field. His wide receivers dropped nine passes against the Jets on Sunday, and Brady still put up 355 yards and two touchdowns, as well as a rushing score.

Ray Rice To The Texans Is A No-Brainer

Brady’s greatest rival, Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, is a year older than Brady and has had an almost inverse start to 2015. Both teams are undefeated, but Manning has thrown 10 picks and only seven touchdowns, despite having two of the NFL’s best receivers at his disposal. He looks as physically diminished as any player in the entire NFL, and it’s impossible to envision him continuing for another 10 years, or even in 2016.

If Brady can continue playing at this level for another three to five years, let alone 10, he’ll leave no doubt about who is the best quarterback in NFL history.
