Coach Brad Stevens would like to have a starting lineup that consisted point guards Marcus Smart and Avery Bradley, centers David Lee and Tyler Zeller, and small forward Jae Crowder. In his interview with the publication prior to the team's 81-65 victory against the Philadelphia 76ers at the Verizon Wireless Arena on Oct. 23, Stevens also said that he liked the line-up, according to ESPN.

Stevens also said that with time passing by throughout the year, he was thinking if he would start all his players or he would mix them up. While the team's performance this year had not yet been completely evaluated, the performance of the said group was satisfactory.

The roster could experience an unexpected defeat on the season opener with 796ers, but Stevens believed that the set would take the upper hand against the 76ers, according to Mass Live.

It was also mentioned by Stevens that he would like Lee in a "facilitating" role, along with the guards. For the Celtics' coach, the players in his set were all "explosive cutters" and "physical guards," which would yield a good balance.

Aside from Smart, Bradley, Lee, Zeller, and Crowder, Celtics also include Amir Johnson, Isaiah Thomas, , and James Young, among others.

As per ESPN, while the coach had not been prepared to fence in the aforementioned line-up, Celtics was assumed to feature the starting five on the season opener on Oct. 28.

Meanwhile, Celtics is set to have a match with the 76ers at TD Garden on Oct. 29.
