After one of the biggest wins in college football history a week ago, the Tigers extended its winning streak to 14 games (the third-longest streak in the country), with a 66-42 victory over Tulsa Friday night. The Tigers have gone more than a year since their last loss against Houston.

The team was led by quarterback Paxton Lynch who, despite missing his first three passes, completed 32 of 44 passes for a career high of 447 yards and four touchdowns.

The Tigers are 7-0 this season, and Lynch went another game without turning the ball over. No. 18 Memphis compiled 704 total yards of offense in an explosive performance. Tulsa's offense was excellent but the defense never found an answer for Lynch and the Memphis offense. Memphis also had two running backs crest 100+ rushing yards, with sophomore Doroland Dorceus running a career-high 150 yards and two touchdowns and Jamarius Henderson added 119 yards on the ground, 2 touchdowns, and a receiving touchdown.

According to USA Today, Memphis coach Justin Fuente was concerned with how his team would play after beating Mississippi last week to notch one of the most important victories in the history of the program. After a slow start - just when you started to worry - the Tigers' offense got cranked up. They rolled to an easy win to remain unbeaten.

"Obviously, we're happy to get the win coming off last week," Fuente said. "Last week was an emotional game, it was a physical game, and this was an incredible challenge."

Both teams are in the top 10 nationally in total offense, and they combined for 1,248 yards of offense in a wild, back-and-forth game.
