Success on FanDuel each week involves finding several cheap players to perform like stars. We’ll make it easy for you, and identify one extremely affordable player at each position you can confidently plug into your lineup.

Quarterback: Landry Jones, Steelers ($6,000)

Keep an eye on Ben Roethlisberger’s status, since he’s listed as questionable, but all signs are pointing to Jones’ first career start. He looked competent in relief of Michael Vick last week, quickly figuring out that heaving the ball to Martavis Bryant can cover up a lack of preparedness.

Don't Rush To Pick Up Zach Mettenberger

Jones isn’t some highly touted prospect, but he’s got a cache of top weapons at the skill positions surrounding him, and he’s up against a shell-shocked Chiefs team that has one win.

Running Back: Matt Jones, Redskins ($5,600):

Alfred Morris has been a complete disaster this year, and pass-catching back Chris Thompson is listed as doubtful for this week’s tilt vs. the Buccaneers. That means Jones is in for a big workload against a Bucs defense that scares exactly no one.

Brandon LaFell's Comeback Spells Doom For Dion Lewis

WR DeSean Jackson still isn’t ready to come back, and Kirk Cousins has become the turnover machine most knowledgeable football observers expected him to be. It all adds up to plenty of work for Jones, the most explosive non-DeSean Jackson player in Washington’s offense.

Wide Receiver: Leonard Hankerson, Falcons ($5,700)

Hankerson is the clear No. 2 in Atlanta these days, which is great news against Tennessee, who is ranked dead-last in the NFL vs. such receivers. It’s bizarre; the Titans have the second-ranked defense against No. 1 receivers, which should change once Julio Jones has his way with them, but there’s no doubting their issues vs. the capos of the passing game. Slide Hankerson in that WR3 slot and expect a touchdown.

Tight End: Eric Ebron, Lions ($5,100)

Ebron is probable and missed just one week with a knee injury. He’s hungry, and he was playing well before he got hurt. He caught four passes in each of his first three games – consistency that is valuable at the volatile tight end position – and he scored twice. The Vikings are near the bottom of the league against tight ends in the passing game, and Ebron’s physical tools make him a threat to give Minnesota hell.
