According to ESPN, NBA commissioner Adam Silver called a federal regulation of daily fantasy operators on Oct. 21 and had said that the league would carry on its conglomerate with FanDuel. This is in spite of several inspections with regard the practices in the industry trade, along with queries about the legitimacy of the tournaments while under civic and state gambling regulations.
Silver also said that the NBA opted to connect with FanDuel to have a grasp of the business. He added that a clear understanding of the business would help them become more transparent.
In a phone interview, Silver said that there should be a governing outline, as well as an increased clearness for purchasers. For Silver, such framework would have ultimately aided the sports industry. He added that people had been seeing the jammed marketplace, as there had not been a lucid regulatory framework for the time being.
Last month, Joint Chiefs of Staff former chairman Gen. Martin E. Dempsey, who bowed out as the military's top officer, had been assumed to advise Silver with regard to issues concerning leadership and service, along with advising NBA owners and executives on how franchises could relate with the public, according to New York Times.

For Silver, he wanted to become engaged directly, with his optimistic view on the stepping in of the federal and state regulators. This interest in Silver's standpoint has sprouted, since NBA was ultimately his game and intellectual property and its integrity matters.
