Adrien “The Problem” Broner is known more for being a Floyd Mayweather Jr.-esque character outside the ring than for dominating inside of it. Broner is particularly fond of partying with strippers, which is why his reasoning for storming off the set of “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” is so surprising.

According to TMZ, Broner was set up to meet Karlie Redd, a friend of his, at the Playboy Radio building. Broner was allegedly asked to portray sexual tension between the two, which Broner balked at because he wanted to come off accurately – as a supportive friend.

Broner is currently in a committed relationship and does not want anyone getting the wrong idea about him when it comes to other women. Which is strange, with videos like these floating around the interwebs.

However, Broner’s resistance to that kind of drama does give some credence to his vow to take boxing more seriously, and leave some of his childish behavior in the past. Broner suffered the second loss of his career in June against Shawn Porter, his second defeat vs. championship-caliber opposition.

He returned to the ring on Oct. 3 and scored an impressive TKO victory against Khabib Allakhverdiev for the vacant WBA junior welterweight title. Before the fight, Broner said his initials A.B. will now mean “About Boxing.” That remains to be seen, but storming off the set of Love & Hip Hop signals that he might finally be starting to “get it.”
