Cowboys defensive end Greg Hardy plans to stop Giants Qb Eli Manning by hitting him in the mouth, ESPN reported.

Hardy added that the best thing is to make quarterbacks feel pain. The 27-year-old Cowboys star, who served a four-game suspension for a violation of the league's personal conduct policy, had two sacks and hit quarterback Tom Brady five other times in their 30-6 loss to Patriots two Sundays ago.

The Cowboys sacked Brady five times in that game, all in the first half, before Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels made quick adjustments, including giving left tackle Nate Solder some help in dealing with Hardy.

While the Patriots were able to counter their moves, the Cowboys remain optimistic that they can consistently pressure Manning. The Eagles sacked Manning three times Monday night in their 27-7 win over the Giants. Manning was also limited to 189 passing yards, and threw two interceptions.

Thus, the Giants are expected to provide more double teams against Hardy than the Patriots did.

Hardy swears to play his heart out and be ready when the Giants "throw the whole house" at him, especially now that he's stepped up his game with conditioning, David Moore of The Dallas Morning News reported.

This will be the first game Hardy and rookie Randy Gregory are both available, and Cowboys' defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli has more options and combinations he can use against the Giants with all of his defensive linemen.
