The luck of the Irish should run out for WWE Superstar Sheamus.

Shield Reunion Latest Hint At Seth Rollins' Face Turn

"The Celtic Warrior" won the Money in the Bank briefcase in June, but that doesn't mean he should win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship anytime soon. Sheamus defeated six other Superstars at the Money in the Bank event to earn a contract, which is good for a shot at the richest prize in the game anytime within the next year.

Sheamus has tried to cash in on a couple of occasions, but has been thwarted off. When he finally does exercise his contract, he should come up short for myriad reasons.

10 Booking Decisions WWE Should Utilize At Hell In A Cell

1) Chance After Chance

The WWE has given Sheamus plenty of shots to take the ball and run with it in the past, but for the most part he's floundered. It can't be fully blamed on him, but the WWE has never really known what to do with its Irish Superstar, as evidenced by his numerous face and heel turns over the years. The WWE rushed the belt on him when he wasn't ready in 2009, and he hasn't fully recovered as a character, despite having three separate World Championship reigns. The fact that he's bounced back-and-forth from the midcard shows the pure lack of direction behind him.

2) Numbers Game

There have been 15 Money in the Bank winners in history aside from Sheamus' 2015 win, and 13 of them have won gold after cashing in. The only two men to not escape with a title after exercising the contract are John Cena and Damien Sandow. The "Cenation" leader won by disqualification in his match, so he didn't win the title, while Sandow was the only man to ever cash in and lose. To make it a little less predictable, the WWE needs to have some balance in the numbers, and it should be at Sheamus' expense as he should fail to cash in.

3) Rolling With Rollins

Seth Rollins hasn't been booked as a strong champion, but much like Sheamus, it's not his fault that the creative direction has been poor. One thing "The Architect" has done well as champion is put on tremendous matches, which can also be said for Sheamus to a lesser degree. Rollins has had some of the best bouts of the year and the WWE should reward him with a lengthy reign. Rollins won the gold at WrestleMania 31 and deserves to be the champion when the lights come up on WrestleMania 32 in April. If the WWE is insistent that Sheamus wins the gold, it should be well after WrestleMania as he has until June to cash the contract in.
