Don't let the 6-0 record fool you. There's trouble ahead in Denver, and it starts with Peyton Manning's arm.

The Broncos escaped Cleveland with a 26-23 OT win on Sunday. A 34-yard FG from Brandon McManus allowed the Broncos to keep pace with the Bengals and Patriots in the AFC, but it wasn't enough to hide Manning's struggles.

Peyton Manning Sends Handwritten Retirement Letters To NFL Players

The 39-year-old completed just 54.2 percent of his passes for 290 yards, one TD and three INTs. For the season, Manning has just seven TDs to 10 INTs. Fortunately for him, the Broncos haven't played a NFL-caliber team yet.

The Browns, Raiders, Vikings, Lions, Chiefs and Ravens are a combined 9-19.

Tom Brady Saw Peyton Manning's Downfall Coming

The real fun begins in the coming weeks, when Packers, Colts and Patriots cross paths with Denver. That's when Manning's flaws will be insurmountable.

That's when word of his retirement should intensify.

For all his greatness, Manning has steadily regressed since the the Broncos' 22-7 loss to St. Louis in 2014. The Colts subsequently exposed him in the playoffs later that year, eliminating the Broncos despite a 12-4 regular season record.

Much of the same will follow in 2015. There's no need to live through it again in 2016.

The Broncos are better off finding a QB that can physically go the distance, not live through one who can only do it in the regular season.
