Tonight at 8:07 p.m. ET the ALCS will kick off from Kansas City, where the Royals, the American League representative in the 2014 World Series, host the Blue Jays, in their first postseason since 1993. Marco Estrada (13-8. 3.13 ERA) will toe the rubber for Toronto, while Edinson Volquez (13-9, 3.55 ERA) will oppose him.

The Blue Jays caught heat for their bat-flipping antics in Game 5 vs. the Royals, and they remained unapologetic afterward. Their swagger might be cause for more drama vs. the Royals, against whom they had some testy meetings during the regular season. Volquez was at the center of one where the benches cleared.

"It's over with. We've got to move forward," Volquez said ahead of tonight’s tilt. Both Volquez and manager Ned Yost said they will be unafraid to pitch inside.

"I'm not a mind reader. I'm not a fortune teller. I don't know if it's going to be an issue," Yost said. "But we'll pitch inside aggressively. That's a power-laden club over there. We're going to formulate a really good game plan and try to go out and execute."

As for the Blue Jays’ issues, manager John Gibbons is uninterested in stunting his players’ enthusiasm.

"You look at all professional sports in general, everybody celebrates more so than they used to," Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said. "In our particular sport, if it's happening for your team, your guy gets a big hit, nobody minds it. If you're on the other side, nobody likes it."
