Sting finally won a big match in the WWE -- but it was a fantasy battle.

There was a stop-motion dream match between Sting and Bray Wyatt action figures on WWE.com, which could be a sign that the company is gauging interest in a potential real life clash between the two mysterious Superstars. Such a big match could very well happen at WrestleMania 32 on April 3, 2016, at AT&T Stadium in Texas.

After Injury, Sting Open To WWE Return

Sting's status in the squared circle is of course up in the air after he sustained a legitimate injury last month against Seth Rollins during their battle at Night of Champions. The injury caused him to suffer a stinger (no pun intended) in his neck. "The Vigilante" appears to be doing well these days, so he could don the black and white makeup for one more potential battle.

There are a lot of similarities between the two Superstars, as they play dark characters with a lot of mystery behind them, so on paper it sounds like it would be a fascinating rivalry. However, if Sting were to return to the ring, it seems the WWE would book him against The Undertaker in a dream match that has for some reason been ignored over the past year.

Jim Ross Comments On Seth Rollins Injuring Two Superstars

With The Undertaker wrapping up his feud with Brock Lesnar at Hell in a Cell, and Sting likely to be cleared to wrestle by the time April rolls around, the WWE's scariest Superstar may battle the former icon of WCW. Still, the WWE has been known to shy away from this contest, so it's possible Wyatt and Sting could go toe-to-toe on the grandest stage in the WWE.

As for their fantasy match, Sting defeated Wyatt with the Scorpion Death Drop, which was a change of pace for how he's been booked in the WWE. Sting could use a high-profile win to potentially close his career after falling to Triple H at WrestleMania 31 and Rollins at Night of Champions.

Maybe the most unrealistic facet of the fantasy bout was former ECW announcer Joey Styles calling the play-by-play, something that would just never happen these days.
