While Khloe Kardashian is understandably in an emotional state with her former flame Lamar Odom being in grave condition, her new boyfriend, James Harden, is focusing on basketball.
The Rockets shooting guard is awaiting the new campaign to begin as Houston is set to tipoff against Detroit on Oct. 27.
Kobe Bryant Labeled As Phony During Lamar Odom Situation
Meanwhile, the entire Kardashian clan is by Odom's bedside as he continues to cling to life. The former NBA star was found unconscious in a brothel in Nevada, and it's feared that drugs played a role in his current state. Here are four reasons to believe that Harden is focusing on basketball instead of the Odom situation.
Famous People Spread Rumors Of Lamar Odom's Death
1) Social Silence
Harden's social media presence has been very minimal as of late, with his last tweet coming on Oct. 9 and his latest Instagram post, having to do with Rockets socks of all things, reaching the masses six days ago. The three-time NBA All-Star hasn't acknowledged Odom's situation at all on social media, which could be a sign that he's distancing himself.
2) California Calling
Harden is in the Golden State as the Rockets are set to tipoff for a preseason game against the Warriors Thursday night. Sure, California and Nevada are close to each other, but the 6-foot-5 Los Angeles native is gearing up for his team's next exhibition game.
3) Side Action
Kardashian recently said that she fears her man will step out on her and begin cheating once the NBA season starts. Harden has already been spotted at a New York City restaurant with another woman, while an Australian college student alleged she hooked up with the NBA star.
4) Old Enemies
It's impossible to get into the mind of Harden and know how he truly feels about Odom, but obviously it's an awkward situation when a rival's health is at risk. With Kardashian having history with Odom, it makes the situation even more dicey for Harden. While Odom may have squeezed Kardashian's hand Wednesday night, according to TMZ, his prognosis has worsened and the doctors haven't ruled out it being an involuntary muscle movement.
