WWE 'Hell In A Cell' 2015 Rumors: Roman Reigns Nuts To Think Structure Is More Dangerous Than Football [VIDEO]

Roman Reigns may need to have his head examined, or perhaps he's just passionate about his craft.

The hulking WWE Superstar sat down with Michael Cole in his weekly interview segment for WWE.com to discuss his impending match with Bray Wyatt at Hell in a Cell on Oct. 25 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Concussions, Painkillers Still Prevalent In NFL

It was during this over four-minute interview that Reigns said something interesting - revealing his belief that the Hell in a Cell match is more dangerous than his time playing baseball and football.

Take nothing away from professional wrestlers, it takes a strong-willed individual to take on the rigorous traveling schedule these athletes endure and to absorb the physical bumps and bruises these Superstars go through. Though being a wrestler isn't easy, to compare it to being tackled on the gridiron -- especially amid all the concerns with head injuries in the NFL -- sounded a bit nutty.

Seth Rollins' Crappy Booking Needs To End

"I played on pretty much every type of playing field," Reigns said. "I played football, baseball [and] basketball. Did it all. I like to think I'm a tough guy and a good athlete, but nothing prepares you to be surrounded by steel. Nothing prepares your flesh to be thrown into a cage, onto a hard floor. It's one of those things you just gotta feel it out there and go with the flow. And hopefully you come out."

It's understandable that Reigns is trying to hype the match and that despite wrestling outcomes being predetermined, the bout will take a physical toll on him, but to compare it to being on a football field seems a bit outlandish. The cell match does have its dangers, as does stepping into the ring in general, but the physicality of putting your body on the line during a wrestling match pales in comparison to the intensity put forth on the football field.

Reigns vs. Wyatt is one of two matches to take place inside Hell in a Cell as The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar will also settle their score inside the demonic structure on Oct. 25.

It will certainly be hell that Reigns and Wyatt put their bodies through, but it's hard to fathom that he believes wrestling is tougher than high-impact sports.
