Tonight at 6:07 p.m. ET the NLDS between the Cardinals, who had MLB’s best record this season, and the Cubs, winners of the NL wild card, will face off in Game 3 from Wrigley Field. Fans can watch the game on TBS or live stream if free by clicking this link. Cubs fans can listen to the game on WGN 720, while Cards fans may do likewise on KMOX 1120.
The Cubs will send ace right-hander Jake Arrieta (22-6, 1.77 ERA) to the mound against Michael Wacha (17-7, 3.38 ERA).
St. Louis has a grinding lineup, but getting to Arrieta has been impossible since late August. Arrieta has gone at least six innings and given up one run or less in 10 consecutive starts, including the Wild Card round. He has struck out 84 hitters and walked seven in that span. The Cubs haven’t lost an Arrieta start since late July.
Wacha won’t be a walk in the park either. He has a career 3.48 postseason ERA, which drops to 2.46 if his blowup in last season’s NLCS, when he gave up three runs in 1/3 of an inning in relief, is thrown out. Wacha hasn’t done well vs. Chicago in 2015, registering a 6.68 ERA in four starts.
