Things To Know

--Runs were at a premium in Game 1, and that may also be the case in Game 2. Daniel Murphy broke the ice with a solo homer for the Mets in the fourth, while David Wright drove in two runs for New York in the seventh inning. Adrian Gonzalez was stifled by Jacob deGrom, but he drove in the lone Dodger run off of Tyler Clippard in the eighth inning. Jeurys Familia nailed down a four-out save.

--Greinke led the majors in ERA in the regular season and owns a 3.63 mark in the playoffs. Syndergaard, making his postseason debut, pitched better at home (2.46 ERA) than on the road (4.23), but his last two starts away from Citi Field were promising for the Mets.

--If the series reaches a fifth game, Syndergaard and Greinke may match up again.
