The Markieff Morris issue has long died down but apparently there is one team that believes that the row is far from over. And that team is no other than the Detroit Pistons.

The Pistons are of course the new home of Markieff Morris’ brother Marcus. Seeing that the Morris twins took exception to the Phoenix Suns’ move to dealing Marcus earlier in the year, why not go after Markieff as well?

Such a scenario came out even before Markieff showed his dismay at the way the Suns ‘disrespected’ him and his brother. Keef went as far as demanding for a trade and that resulted in a hefty $10,000 fine by the NBA for making detrimental remarks.

Things have changed days leading to training camp, Keef saying that he would be playing for the Suns. And while it seems like a way of patching things up, there are some who are not convinced that this issue has totally died down.

Apparently one of them is the Detroit Pistons which would be a sensible landing place for Keef. It would reunite him with his brother of course, something both have apparently been bargaining for.

But a deal for Keef Morris is unlikely to come up this early. If so, it may come somewhere perhaps by December or even as far as the NBA trade deadline in February.

Whether the Suns keep Keef or not will really depend a lot on how he performs this season, something that could more or less show the ill-effects of his displeasure which have supposedly died down.

One thing going against the Pistons could perhaps be how they could go about it. Who do they give up? Better yet do they have someone valuable that the Suns would be interested in?

For the Pistons to land Keef and reunite him with his brother Marcus, those are some of the things that need to be addressed.

Right now, there is no clue on who Stan Van Gundy has in mind. Perhaps in a couple of months?
