Perhaps looking to toughen up his image in anticipation of what could be, San Antonio Spurs center Tim Duncan is spending the remainder of his off season training with former two-time boxing champ Jesse James Lejia.

Lejia confirmed as much in a recent Twitter post where he simply raved: "The greatest power forward ever! TD and I after boxing workout for an hour."

Before all is said and done, Duncan may well need the skills. Chances are some from among his NBA brethren may try to get under his skin this season with taunts stemming from all his trials and tribulations this summer.

Divorce proceedings for Duncan and his wife of 12 years, Amy, were recently finalized but not before allegations he might be gay or bisexaul were made public. In her divorce petition, Amy Duncan claimed she always suspected her now ex-husband might be gay and at one point in their marriage another man even lived under the same roof with them.

For the most part, the 37-year-old Duncan elected to take the high road, publicly refraining from hurling many of the same sort of accusations lobbed at him by the attorneys of his former college sweetheart.

After the divorce was finalized, however, the San Antonio Express reported that lawyers for Duncan sought intimate details about a local personal trainer his wife was rumored to be romantically linked to. Court records also showed Duncan once hired a private investigator to learn more about the man, identified as Gilbert R. Urbano Jr., and even sought a court order barring him from being around the couple's two young children.

No financial details stemming from the couple's split have been made public, but throughout the proceedings Duncan's attorneys stressed he planned to strictly enforce the terms of a prenuptial agreement the couple signed at the time of their union.
