It’s human nature for any athlete to want to impress their significant other. That was certainly the case for Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez on Tuesday.
Chicharito Hernadez Snubs Louis Van Gaal
The Bayer Leverkusen striker returned to Spain for the club’s Champions League fixture against Barcelona. It was an opportunity to rekindle his relationship with Lucia Villalon, a Spanish TV reporter. The two met during Hernandez’s season-long loan with Real Madrid in 2014-15.
His return to Spanish soil prompted her presence.

One could only imagine what was running through Louis van Gaal’s mind.
Fortunately for Hernandez, his miss wasn’t enough to scare Villalon away -- although it should've.
