It's no secret that John Cena and Nikki Bella are dating in real life, but their courtship outside the ring has yet to be acknowledged on WWE programming, aside from "Total Divas."

Mapping Out Undertaker & Brock Lesnar's Road To WrestleMania 32

Cena and Bella have been publicly dating since November 2011 and though the cameras of the E! Network reality show have caught up with them, the WWE has kept the item separate in its storylines. Putting them together could give them each more of an edge, which in wrestling is never a bad thing.

Here are three ways of possibly adding Cena and Bella's relationship into the storylines.

WWE Monday Night RAW Rumors & 5 Things To Watch For

1) "Total Divas" Crossover

Perhaps the easiest way to do it would be to piggyback off of whatever happens in the finale "Total Divas" this season and have one of the two address it on the next edition of Monday Night RAW. If the WWE is worried about alienating the part of the audience that doesn't watch the show (not sure why anyone does, actually), then it can easily display one of those video recaps it's always so fond of to get the message and storyline across. The finale this season reportedly has to do with Dolph Ziggler, Bella's ex-boyfriend, and the WWE could easily use that as a jumping-off point for a feud with Cena.

2) Bella Face Turn

One thing that's just never made sense: The entire WWE Universe knows that Bella and Cena are dating, yet in the WWE she portrays the top villain in the Divas division, while her counterpart is the top face among the males. How dumb is that? It makes no sense and a character change for Bella could alleviate the problems and enable the pair to work together.

3) Cena Heel Turn

This has been the dream of the Internet Wrestling Community for years as it would completely change the game, much like when Hulk Hogan joined the nWo in 1996. Aside from his early career, Cena has been a life-long babyface and has had the same character for over a decade. If the WWE really wants to create a buzz, he could become a villain and side with his girlfriend. With Bella feuding with Charlotte, one way of accomplishing this would be to have Cena attack Ric Flair, Charlotte's father, to complete the turn. With Cena selling the most merchandise and setting records with Make-A-Wish, it's doubtful he'll ever turn, but it's interesting to think about.
