The Bills gave away a talented linebacker (Kiko Alonso), and paid a hefty sum of money to LeSean McCoy for him to be the workhorse of Rex Ryan’s backfield. Buffalo is 2-1 right now, so nobody is complaining, but through three weeks McCoy isn’t looking great.

McCoy is averaging 3.4 yards per carry right now, and even though he scored a receiving touchdown last week, he has mustered just 229 yards from scrimmage. McCoy entered the season battling a hamstring injury, and Bills reporter Tyler Dunne tweeted that the injury is still affecting him.

Week 3 Prime Time For Winless Teams

In the meantime, rookie Karlos Williams has played well enough to surpass McCoy. He’s averaging almost eight yards per attempt, and when the Bills doubled his workload in a blowout vs. the Dolphins, he responded with 110 yards and a score. Williams has also scored once in each game in 2015.

Twitter Reacts To Gruesome-Lookin Big Ben Injury

Fantasy football owners have slept on Williams this whole time; he’s owned in just 23 percent of leagues per Yahoo. That is about to change in a major way, or at least it should. Williams has been far more effective at punching the ball into the end zone, and, according to Dunne, is healthier. If you are a McCoy owner you NEED to go get Williams, and for the rest of you, he has value whether or not McCoy plays.
