After several months of rehabilitation on her surgically repaired knee, Lindsey Vonn got back on skis to work out in the snow this weekend as she eyes a return for the 2014 Winter Olympics In Sochi, Russia.

Vonn is the girlfriend of top-ranked golfer Tiger Woods.

Vonn, an Olympic gold medalist and four-time World Cup champion, got back on skis this past weekend in Portillo, Chile. Red Bull, which is one of her sponsors, released a video of her first workout on skis in months, which can be seen below:

Vonn, who is recovering from a terrifying crash, took it slow at the request of her coach, but said that she progressed very well from the injury and that the training session gave her some confidence, while admitting that it will be a bit of a challenge moving forward.

"I can't tell which knee is injured - that's a good sign," Vonn told USA Today Sports. "I usually go from zero to a hundred. I'm not good in between so this is going to be a challenge."

Vonn tore her ACL and MCL and fractured her tibial plateau in her right knee during a horrific crash last February at the world championships. Vonn, 28, didn't expect to get back onto skis until November, but the injury progressed quicker than she initially thought. Vonn took five runs of easy drills on flat terrain Sunday, and said she wasn't afraid of getting back out there.

"I had absolutely no fear whatsoever," Vonn says in the video. "I was really excited to get back out there."

Vonn, who is the most successful skier in U.S. history and trails just Austria's Annemarie Moser-Proll's record of 62 World Cup wins by three, plans on returning to competition at the women's World Cup in Beaver Creek, Colo. from Nov. 29-Dec. 1.

"I would love to win as many World Cups as possible but my main focus is definitely the Olympics," Vonn told USA Today Sports last week. "If I start off slow, it's fine. I want to make sure that by the time I get to Sochi that I'm 100% in those events."
