It was a do-or-die for several teams across the NFL entering Sunday. Since 1990, only three teams started 0-3 and made the postseason. The Saints and Ravens will test that theory in 2015, unable to find a win.
The Colts, Eagles and Texans are fortunate enough to not have to. The trio found important victories on Sunday, pushing their record to 1-2.

Colts 35-33 Texans
Six minutes, the Colts were six minutes from facing an insurmountable 0-3 record. Andrew Luck continued to struggle, throwing for two INTs. He awoke when it mattered most.
Congrats to Andrew Luck on his 10th career fourth-quarter comeback win. 4Q stats: 11/13 144 yds, 2 TD. #StanfordNFL https://t.co/Rz9ZZ4vhwZ

It was by no means a comprehensive victory for the Colts -- at one time trailing by 13 in the fourth quarter -- but it was a necessary one to save Chuck Pagano’s job.
3rd and 20. Andrew Luck throws deep and T.Y. Hilton goes up and GETS it. 48-yard catch. INDvsTEN https://t.co/Do2DSxPD71

Buccaneers 9-19 Texans
Technically the Texans won, but most of it had to do with Kyle Brindza’s inability to do his job. The 22-year-old put the Buccaneers on the board with a 58-yard FG, only to misfire on three consecutive attempts.

Even an extra point was beyond his talents.
Texans game ball goes to Bucs kicker Kyle Brindza.

It’s a glass-half-empty victory for the Texans. They won’t be able to face Brindza every week.
Eagles 24-17 Jets
There were no aesthetics in the Eagles victory over the Jets. Sam Bradford barely completed 50 percent of his passes -- finishing 14-of-28 for 118 yards and one TD. Ryan Mathews filled in amicably for an injured DeMarco Murray, but Sunday’s victory was more of a gift from Ryan Fitzpatrick than anything.
You know what: Ryan Fitzpatrick is, well, Ryan Fitzpatrick. Can't do a damn thing. Nothing!

The Jets QB predictably threw three INTs.
Ryan Fitzpatrick cannot throw the ball down the field. And because he went to Harvard people pretend he doesn't turn ball over. He does.
