The WWE will present the 31st Hell in a Cell match in its history on Oct. 25 when Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker clash live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
4 Possible Outcomes To Taker-Lesnar At Hell In A Cell
"The Deadman" has wrestled in 12 of the first 30 cell matches, more than anyone in history, and he is an even 6-6 in "Satan's Playground." Lesnar, meanwhile, has only wrestled in one cell match to date -- also against The Undertaker -- and earned a victory.
Not all of The Undertaker's cell bouts have been memorable, and some have been flat-out duds. Not every match on this list was terrible, but they didn't make the top-six in 'Taker's best clashes inside hell. Here are our rankings of the six worst Undertaker Hell in a Cell matches, starting with the worst.
6) The Undertaker vs. The Big Boss Man, WrestleMania XV (March 1999)
This is without a doubt not only The Undertaker's worst Hell in a Cell match, but the worst encounter to ever take place under the stipulation. This was the first cell bout to ever be held at WrestleMania, and it was a true stinker. The Undertaker won, but it didn't matter because the crowd was asleep. Also, the Boss Man was hanged after the match. Yep, that happened.
5) Undertaker & Steve Austin vs. Kane & Mankind, RAW (June 1998)
This match was fun, especially for a main event on RAW, but the third-ever cell bout didn't quite live up to the best of the bunch. Making matters worse, it ended in no contest so there were no winners. The real losers were the fans.
4) Undertaker vs. Kane Hell in a Cell (October 2010)
This match, the 85 millionth between the two "brothers," was an absolute debacle. Kane won to retain the World Heavyweight Championship, but it was utter nonsense.
3) Undertaker vs. Randy Orton, Armageddon (December 2005)
This match was pretty fun, aside from the persistent annoyance of Orton's father, "Cowboy" Bob Orton, getting interfering. The Undertaker won, which did nothing for the young up-and-comer Orton, but was still the expected outcome. "The Viper" would be okay though, as he went on to claim 15 World Championships.
2) The Undertaker vs. CM Punk, Hell in a Cell (October 2009)
This match seems like it should have been main event-caliber, but it actually opened the show and came at a time when the WWE was over-doing its campaign to be less violent. The cell itself barely even factored into the match. In the end, 'Taker hit a Tombstone on Punk to claim the World Heavyweight Championship.
1) The Undertaker vs. Batista, Survivor Series (November 2007)
The best of the worst was actually a very quality match as two huge athletes went head to head inside the structure. The ending was also memorable as it saw Edge dress as a cameraman and attack The Undertaker out of nowhere, helping Batista retain the World Heavyweight Championship and rekindling their rivalry.
