Allen Iverson's Ex Wife Seeking $1.3 Million Lump Sum Child Support Payment [VIDEO]

Less than two months after he paid off more than $40,000 in back owed child support payments after being threatened with jail time by a family court judge, Allen Iverson's ex-wife is again taking him  to court, this time seeking a reported $1.27 million lump sum payment.

According to BlackSportsOnline.com, Tawanna Iverson filed legal documents on Aug. 1 requesting that the judge order Iverson to pay the lump sum amount upfront so that she won't have to worry or deal with any delinquency on his part in the future.

If the order is granted, it means that Iverson would have to pay off all the support owed to his five children through the year 2026, when his youngest child turns 18, upfront, according to BlackSportsOnline. Tawanna Iverson told the court she would put the money in a trust for the children.

Iverson, 38, announced his NBA retirement earlier this week to little fanfare or aplomb befitting a man who accomplished all he did over the course of his 15 year NBA career. He averaged 26.7 points, 6.2 assists and 3.7 rebounds, including a 2000-01 season where he tallied 31.4 points, 5.5. assists and 4.5 rebounds per night.

In becoming one of the game's most prolific scorers in history, Iverson won four scoring titles and his career playoff scoring average of 29.7 points ranks second to only Michael Jordan. Iverson was also an 11-time NBA All-Star and won the games MVP award in 2001 and 2005.
