Kam Chancellor's holdout has finally come to an end. The Seahawks safety is rejoining Seattle with or without a new deal -- per NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport -- but it's too little too late.
The Seahawks have dug a hole too deep to climb out of in 2015.

Seattle's 12 percent chance of making the playoffs gets increasingly worse when you consider the recent landscape of the NFL. Since 2009, 45 teams have started 0-2. Only two -- the 2013 Panthers and 2014 Colts -- played in the postseason.
A measly four percent.

The 2002 Rams can relate to Seattle's plight. The Greatest Show on Turf was fresh of a Super Bowl loss -- ironically enough to the Patriots -- and in search of a return to the game's biggest stage. What followed was a mediocre 7-9 season that marked the beginning of their end.
That's the future that awaits Seattle.
The remaining schedule will play its part. Along with five tough divisional games, trips to Dallas and Baltimore await them.

Reaching back-to-back Super Bowls, the Seahawks have been exceptional under Pete Carroll, but are no exception to the rule.
Remember the four percent.
